{Kindergarten Graduation} ecole marie sharpe....

it's a big day for Carrigan today!~ Kindergarten Graduation....a long road ahead of her of school adventures. She is ready and keen! Her  is a collection of caps that a friend and I made for her class. Last day of school!:) Yay I LOVE summer holidays. I especially LOVE having my kids home everyday with me...oh the fun adventures we are going to have...you should see our summer bucket list!~

{week 48} owen lake camping

our first camping trip of the season....with this rainy weather it made it not as tempting to go camping...but below are the reason we do it!~the kids had sooo much fun! they played and played.(board games, running races, digging in the dirt and more) Here is the crew all sitting for there breakfast! I forgot a memory card for my camera so these are taken on my iphone...not too shabby for a p&s....thanks to the Gash & Altwasser family for a great weekend~

fishing boat

Kent's grandparents just moved into a seniors village in the OK after 42 years in their home. With loads of treasures still being boxed for the auction his grandpa was pleased as punch that Kent would purchase his boat from him. Unfortunately, he is unable to go fishing anymore. Kent has fond memories of fishing with his grandpa....his vision of his boat was a little better than when we picked it up a couple of weeks ago. The boat was showing sign of wear and being "grandpa-ized"... well i surprised Kent with a new fresh paint job of the boat. With lots of sanding needed to get off the old paint. Now to remove all the rest of the doo-hickeys that are on the boat...although I'm thinking the umbrella holder may just come in handy...happy fishing to you all!~

{friday favourites} wall canvas

I love CANVAS PRINTS~ Here is my collection of our fav's from our travels...they live on the walls going down to our basement...I get to see them many times daily!~this collection makes my heart sing~I love all these moments. When we had our house reno'd Kent said we should only hang "my art"...with photos of those things that we LOVE! Little did he know I would hold him to this and create some amazing canvas prints to cover our walls....I use an amazing pro lab that makes my photos on canvas look amazing! ( i have more to show...i'll save for another week)

{bird whisperer} Grady

here is our bird "tia"...lovebirds usually bond with someone (or another bird) I hoped this bird would bond with Makenna...well who would have guessed the little boy who drives his cars on her cage and is constantly putting his fingers in her cage to be nibbled on would be the one she loves the most! She loves  Grady! He has no fear of her and picks her up to kiss and snuggle her. She now spends 1/2 her time living in his room...during bedtime she comes out and enjoys a snuggle with G while I read stories.

man oh man! do these kids have gorgeous eyes! It was a blast to spend a morning with C and her new baby brother...she was a great sport. She even had her cats pose for me:)  This was a surprise for father's day! Surprise~ I hope your enjoying your new home. Thanks Kristin for inviting me to spent time capturing your amazingly gorgeous children.

{week 47} outdoor eating

things have been busy here with all our school events and sports wrapping up for the season...but here is a capture of my favourite part of summer. "Outdoor Eating"...Grady is having a post dinner ride!~ I love warm sunny evenings...now bring on the heat please!!!

{Week 46} games with Grama

well I cheated a bit this week....I cruised my photos to pick a photo that I loved!~ I thought it was fitting to choose a photo with Grama...since we got to spend the weekend with her at a wedding while the kids stayed home.
They love to play games with Grama...I love the expression on G face! I will catch up this week with new fresh photos...if it ever stops raining!:(

{friday favourites} Lilacs

lilacs...I love love lilacs! Always have been my favourite flower...I love the scent! We should get our lilacs in the spring but we don't we get them in june. We missed out on lilacs last year since we were away traveling for June. So I'm really appreciating the loveliness of them this year!

{week 45} mini mak bike!~

ahhhh! summer weather is finally here...we love the warm sunny weather. We also love spending time outside on our very large and amazing deck. All the kids learned to ride their bikes on this deck. Here is Grady very very proud of himself peddling around the deck on his "big boy bike"....little does he know that the sticker on the seat says "Mini Mak." This was Makenna's nickname from her Grandpa and her 1st birthday gift from him. It has survived all of the kids...it's on it's last leg...missing pedal, missing basket and no more bell.  One more summer is all we need out of this special little bike then we can retire it.

{Friday favourites} rhubarb

Mmmmm...a little bit of spring eating! Our Rhubarb this year is amazing...thick juicy stalks!~I imagine the copious amount of rain has something to do with it. We love rhubarb crisp...just made it with some strawberries...and the topping is a mixture of large oats, various nuts, a dollop of butter,a bit of maple syrup all blended up and smothered over top and then baked. The girls and I had it for breakfast the next morning too.

I've been busy these day hence the lack of consistent blogging these days. From weddings, soccer, field trips, photo sessions and playing outside...I can't wait till summer holidays.
